In this tutorial, let us see how to install IBM Http Server in Linux using Installation Manager

1. Get the IBM Installation Manager package

2. Unzip Installation Manager package to a local folder

3. Install the Installation Manager


4. Open the folder   and  run    ./install

5. Once the installation is completed in the default location (/opt/IBM/InstallationManager), open the folder  /opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse

 and run ./launcher  OR ./IBMIM


6. Add the packages for  IBM HTTPS
















7. Browser the folder  where IBM HTTP server package is extracted. Select repository.config  then OK





8. Select Apply and Ok

9.  Now select Install from the Installation Manager

10. Select Package (IBM Http Server) from the tab installed package and Press Next

12. Accept Agreement and Next



13. Select the installation directory and   Next

14. Select 32 bit or 64 Bit version


15. Mention the port number of hhtp. By default it is 80 and Next

Click on Install

Now package is installed and click on finish



You can check the installation by starting the httpserver

Change to the folder

/opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin

 ./apachectl start
