1 Open RAD (Rational Application Developer) and Select work space folder and OK
2. RAD Automatically detects WebSphere Application Server installed in your computer based on installation manager and displays. Give password and Ok
3. Click on work bench
4. Start New Project using File->New->Enterprise Application
5. Enter Name of the project. In our example Test
Click Next
Click on New Module
Select Web Module and change name if required and finish
Click on Generate application.xml deployment descriptor
6. Create New Dynamic WebPage
Right Click on WebContent and Select WebPage
Enter Name as HelloWorld
Open the HelloWolrd.jsp
Enter Hello World
7. Now run the page by right click on the helloworld.jsp and Run As -> select run on server
8. Select the server and finish
The default port for accessing the application is 9080
